Systemically important: Banks on this list are the 500 largest U.S. banks by total assets. Their size means their financial health has outsized impact on the broader economy.
Texas Ratio: Non-performing assets (non-accrual loans + 90-day past-due loans + other real estate owned) divided by tangible equity capital + loan loss reserves. A ratio above 100% means problem assets exceed the bank's safety net.
Data source: All data comes from the FDIC's public BankFind API, based on quarterly Call Reports filed by every FDIC-insured institution.
Update frequency: Data reflects the most recent quarterly filing available from the FDIC, updated quarterly.
